What Does a 5‑to‑10‑fold Improvement in Endurance Standard Mean Standardized Low-Voltage Assembly Zhang Zheng, General Manager of Fangyuan Testing disclosed test data: the SLVA standard requires the molded‑case circuit breakers to have an electrical life of ≥7,500 operations and a mechanical life of ≥15,000 operations; air‑circuit breakers shall achieve an electrical life of 6,000‑10,000 operations and a mechanical life of ≥10,000 operations. Most specifications are improved by 5‑ to 10‑fold compared with national standards, placing the standard at the leading level of the industry. More noteworthy than the final results is the testing process. At the early stage of tests, prototypes encountered common industry‑wide issues such as internal ignition and contact welding.
